Scope and contentThe life story of Anglican Archdeacon George McKay, son of a Hudson's Bay Company official. Includes many stories related to First Nations and Metis people including the making of peace between the Dakota and Assiniboine, discussion of the Uprising of 1885: McKay's presence in the party that discovered the dead at Frog Lake, journeyed to a burnt Fort Pitt, and accompanied General Strange's Alberta Field Force.
