Scope and contentThe file contains a presentation by Carl Simms, Greg Haste, and George Hinton of the Hay River Corridor Group. President Carl Simms delivers the presentation on behalf of the group and discusses jurisdictional issues with the town and territorial governments, parallels between issues faced by the group and those faced by Aboriginal people in dealing with unresponsive governments, the group's desire to see things change for Aboriginal people and a new relationship to be formed, taxation issues, the need to settle land claims, a critique of bureaucracy, and generally the need for Aboriginal people to be self-sufficient. Following the presentation Commissioner Erasmus thanks Simms for his contribution.
