Scope and contentThe file contains a Workshop Report for the Metis Council of Women by Joey Hamelin. Hamelin discusses the need for empowerment, the need to educate "our communities, ourselves, towards the acceptance of lesbian and gay people," the need for increased female leadership in communities, the need for networking, sharing, and a national strategy to tackle the suicide issue. Chairperson Hodgson then makes some announcements and pronounces the day's session at a close.
