Scope and contentFile contains a presentation by Laura Dahdona, Matthew Nanooch, William Pelech, and Mary Francis on behalf of Aboriginal Social Work Students in High Level. Dahdona discusses funding and accessibility issues with regard to post-secondary education. Dahdona recommends that Indian Affairs lift its cap on education funding, and that the Government provide resources for the establishment of a four Band post-secondary education committee made up of Aboriginal professionals to ensure culturally appropriate content is incorporated in curricullum. Judy Alook discusses culturally appropriate curricullum with Commissioner Dussault. William Pelech discusses his future employment hopes with reference to the social work program, while Mary Francis discusses her employement background and other students problems with cultural identity issues. Following the discussion Commissioner Robinson remarks that a concern about cultural content in curricullum has been an ongoing theme during the Commission's sitting and assures the presenters that it will be addressed by them.
