Scope and contentFile contains presentations by the staff and students of Athabasca Delta Community School. Included are remarks by Principal George Vander Loose, students Skylar Nelson, Rebecca Flett, Nicole Martin, Nicole Fraser, and teacher Ms Armstrong. Principal Vander Loose welcomes the Commission and acts as Master of Ceremonies for the other presenters. Skylar Nelson lists his concerns with the community including the need for more recreation facilities. Ms. Armstrong introduces Rebecca Flett who presents on addictions and the need for more health infrastructure and housing in Fort Chipewyan. Nicole Martin lists her concerns with oil sands pollution, drug addiction, and the need for a hospital in the community. Nicole Fraser presents on pollution in Lake Athabasca and how "in effect our eco-system is being destroyed." Principal Vander Loose then gives a presentation on his views of education in Canada, why it has become too focused on pleasing corporations instead of producing good citizens, and how this state of affairs can be ameliorated. Following the presentations are comments by Commissioner Blakeney on the contents.
