LeJeune's closing "Remarks" state that this issue is a reproduction in shorthand of Sadlier's "Dominion Catholic First Reader, Part I" which is "a printed key to the above lessons." LeJeune continues: "The Indians, who can already read the shorthand as it is written in this number will through it learn to read and write the English text of the corresponding lesson in the printed book." | |
