The Riel's Diary article from 27 April 1971 states that Saskatchewan Ross Thatcher's Liberal government wasn't interested in the $26,500 purchase price of Riel's purported diary; article from the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix. The second article celebrates the 103th birthday of Solomon Pritchard of Cando, SK, who was an eyewitness of the Frog Lake massacre in 1885; newspaper unknown.
