Scope and contentThis news release announces that the Glenbow Museum has acquired the archival collection of Oliver B. Buell, a distinguished CPR photographer during the late 19th century. Among the significant documents is an important letter written by Louis Riel on 1 August 1885, at the time of his trial for treason, and photographs taken by Buell at Riel's trial include a courtroom scene and portraits of Riel's defense lawyers.
