Curator's note | Henry Kelsey, exploring on behalf of the Hudson's Bay Company, is believed to have been the first white man to visit the Prince Albert area in 1692. The initiation of relationships with the Northern and Plains Cree and the opening up of the Saskatchewan river routes, facilitated the growth of trade between the native peoples and the Company. |
