Curator's note | National Secretaries Week was created in the USA in 1952 as an unofficial holiday to encourage more people to consider careers in secretarial/administrative support. It has now been renamed Administrative Professionals Week as there are now many fewer traditional secretaries. During this week of recognition, administrative staff are offered small gifts, including flowers, candies, lunches and time off. It is now observed worldwide during the last week of April. |
