Curator's note | IATSE, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, was organized in the USA in 1893. Saskatoon Local #300 received a charter on July 10 1913 to organize local stageworkers and film projectionists. This was signed by 16 workers. Stage work was the predominant craft of members until the 1930s. It is one of the oldest surviving union locals in the city of Saskatoon. |
