Curator's note | The City of Saskatoon received money from both the federal and provincial governments to construct a new downtown bridge as a depression make work project. To maximize the use of local labour it was built virtually by hand by a large group of relief workers to a design provided by the U of S Dean of Engineering, C. J. McKenzie. |
