Curator's note | This illustrated booklet was "issued by the Canadian Government for the purpose of making known to British boys the opportunities that await them in Canada, and to help them turn those opportunities to their own advantage." The text attempts to answer charges that the farmer's life is difficult, isolated and of low status. "Farmers in Canada are by no means an inferior class. Their intellectual and social standards compare very favorably with those of the great majority of city dwellers." |
