Welcome to the SCAA

The Saskatchewan Council for Archives and Archivists (SCAA) represents the Saskatchewan archival community in the Canadian archival system, and is responsible for developing a cooperative and successful archival network in Saskatchewan, encouraging the establishment of new archives in Saskatchewan, promoting and developing standard archival policies and practices, and promoting public understanding and use of archives and historical resources in Saskatchewan. The Council offers workshops and other educational programs and an Archival Advisory Service providing advice and assistance to archives; and maintains the Saskatchewan Archival Information Network, a network of information about archival holdings in Saskatchewan, including virtual exhibits, descriptions of archival collections, and a photo database.


The mission of the SCAA is:

Through leadership, support, education and promotion, the SCAA fosters the
development, cooperation and advancement of Saskatchewan’s archives and archivists. 



 

What's New

2013 Annual General Meeting
SCAA's 2013 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on the afternoon of Friday June 21st at the Moose Jaw Public Library, located at 461 Langdon Crescent, Moose Jaw.
Registration for the AGM will be at 2:15 and the meeting will start at 2:30.
Lunch will be on your own, however table will be reserved at the Yvette Moore Gallery Cafe.
 
SCAA 2013 workshops

Digitizing Saskatchewan - The SCAA encourages you to take advantage of a half day version of this workshop to be held prior to the 2013 AGM in Moose Jaw on June 21st from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.   THERE WILL BE AN HOUR SCHEDULED FOR LUNCH Please register here before June 17th


"Basic Archive workshop" A Rosetown session is being re-scheduled for the summer and a North Battleford session will be held on September 9.
