| Postcard message | [continued from a previous card]: II did not leave Havre th enight I said but had reveille at 3:30 am the following morning. We fell in at 4:40 am & it just poured rain. It was about 5 kilos to the boat & it rained all the way. We pulled out at 7:30 am. There was quite a gale blowing & it was a ten hour boat trip from Le Havre to Weymouth. I managed to hold on for abour four hours without being sick & then I got awful sick. I vomited all [ends] | |
