Scope and Content: Proceedings of the Royal Commission began at the Court House in the City of Regina on the 12th day of November, 1935. Those present included the three commissioners; Chief Justice Brown (Chairman); Mr. Justice Martin and His Honour Judge Doak; G.H. Yule and L. Tourigny, Counsel for the Commission and the Commission Secretary, R.A. MacLean. Introductory proceedings regarding the appointment of the Commission, of the Counsels and discussion as to whether the powers of the Commission can be implemented by Dominion Order-in-Council in order that the Commission may compel the attendance of witnesses at points outside Saskatchewan and may hold sittings at points outside Saskatchewan (pp. l-l6).
