Curator's note | To the top right is a small ad placed by University of Saskatchewan graduate student Doug Wilson seeking members to participate in a campus gay organization. The ad prompted the Univesity's Dean of Education to restrict Wilson's duties. In response Wilson's supporters waged a year long battle aimed at reinstatement, a battle which became one Canada's most publicized early gay rights campaigns. |
