About this Exhibit

We would like to thank the Murray family for their generous donation, which initiated this site. The site brings together over 17,500 documents, images, and audio files relating to the life and career of Dr. Walter C. Murray. Additional financial support was received from the Government of Canada through the National Archival Development Program of Library and Archives Canada and the Canadian Council of Archives; and the Saskatchewan Council for Archives and Archivists, through the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and Recreation and SaskCulture Inc. We are grateful for the advice and assistance of President Peter MacKinnon, Vice-president (Academic) Brett Fairbairn, Vice-president (Finance and Administration) Richard Florizone, Kent Archer and Blair Barbeau of the University Art Collection, Randy Skurdal, Manager of New Media Productions at eMAP, and Library Development Officer Edna Jen-Warrington.

With the exception of the art collection images, all the resources used can be found at the University of Saskatchewan Archives.  The materials digitized for this site represent a fraction of the materials available for studying the work of Dr. Murray and the formative years of the University of Saskatchewan.  The University Archives is open to all members of the public, as well as administrators, faculty, staff, and students of the University.  We welcome enquiries: please contact us at university.archives@usask.ca.
