Archives Week 2007
We are pleased to announce that the Government of Saskatchewan has proclaimed February 5-11, 2007 as the second annual Archives Week in Saskatchewan.

Events and activities organized by the SCAA:

  • Saskatoon, Broadway Theatre - Screening of Paperback Hero

    • Broadway Theatre, Monday, Feb. 5, 7:00 p.m.; admission $5.00. Join heritage and film expert Don Kerr for a post-film discussion, with a reception to follow at Lydia's.
"Driven by fine, memorable performances ... [a] uniquely Canadian account of a dying small town and the ways in which American pop mythology has impacted the national imagination." Paperback Hero (1973) was filmed in Delisle and Saskatoon. It was featured in the "Canadian Open Vault" program of the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival. The SCAA gratefully acknowledges additional financial support from AV Trust.
  • Back by popular demand, "Celebrate Archives" buttons, produced especially for our first Archives Week, will be distributed at archives across the province.
